To create a movie trailer for the book you are reading in Lang Arts.

Movie Trailers are meant to be a snapshot of what we will see in the movie.
Most trailers have a three-act structure similar to a full feature-length film. They start with a beginning (act 1) that lays out the premise of the story. The middle (act 2) drives the story further and usually ends with a dramatic climax. Act 3 usually features a strong piece of "signature music" (either a recognizable song or a powerful, sweeping orchestral piece). This last act often consists of a visual montage of powerful and emotional moments of the film and may also contain a cast run if there are noteworthy stars that could help sell the movie.

You will need to consider each of the following and how it will make your presentation better.

Key Questions to ask yourself:

• Who is the intended audience?
• What is the important test that needs to be added to the trailer?
• What is the style or genre of the film?
• Who are the stars? or key characters?
• What is the setting and modd of the film?
• What is the plot or story about?

Step 1- create a storyboard of your project. Storyboard Examples

Storyboard

Down load the story board and print, with your partner fill out the storyboard and roughly sketch out your ideas.

Step 2. Once your story board is approved you will create your trailer in iMovie

Open iMovie and click on file, New Project.
Click on movie trailers and select the one that appeals to you and your partner.
Edit the story board with info about your movie.
You will need to add images from the internet and video that you take. (you will upload this to iMovie)

Project Requirements

• Use of appropriate themes for project genre

• Text that explains or summarizes the story
• Credits (at the end that outlines who did what)
• Still images from the internet (must give credit in the credits for where you got the pictures)
• video (you create the video and download it into the project)
• project must be at least a minute long
